Trump Humiliated Jeff Sessions After Mueller Appointment
NY Times ^ | 09/14/17 | MICHAEL S. SCHMIDT and MAGGIE HABERMAN

WASHINGTON — Shortly after learning in May that a special counsel had been appointed to investigate links between his campaign associates and Russia, President Trump berated Attorney General Jeff Sessions in an Oval Office meeting and said he should resign, according to current and former administration officials and others briefed on the matter.

The president attributed the appointment of the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, to Mr. Sessions’s decision to recuse himself from the Justice Department’s Russia investigation — a move Mr. Trump believes was the moment his administration effectively lost control over the inquiry. Accusing Mr. Sessions of “disloyalty,” Mr. Trump unleashed a string of insults on his attorney general.

Ashen and emotional, Mr. Sessions told the president he would quit and sent a resignation letter to the White House, according to four people who were told details of the meeting. Mr. Sessions would later tell associates that the demeaning way the president addressed him was the most humiliating experience in decades of public life.

Somebody should give Sessions a tanto and see if he knows what he should do with it, but he has no honor, so probably not.

Other than their mothers and wives (if allegedly male as in the case of Sessions), Senators all think they are presidential material and don’t know how to take directions from any source other than their own mega-egos.

Sessions obviously wet himself and couldn’t handle it when he was deservedly reamed out by The Donald.

“Ashen and emotional, Mr. Sessions told the president he would quit and sent a resignation letter to the White House, according to four people who were told details of the meeting.”

NY slimes fake news.

I doubt Sessions volunteered to step down. On numerous occasions, Trump publicly addressed Sessions’ betrayal...Why? IMO, He was trying to force the beady-eyed rat basterd to step down on his own accord.

Sessions refused. He is still refusing

“Mr. Sessions would later tell associates that the demeaning way the president addressed him was the most humiliating experience in decades of public life.”

These Senators and other DC urchins are used to endless sycophantic ass-kissing from their campaign, from staff, from each other, from the press 99.9% of the time and are SHOCKED when someone calls them out on their BS.
Just think how when people want you to write your Senator about something. You are solemnly cautioned to be VERY polite and respectful.

More of these SOBs need their comeuppance.

Nobody on this thread “knows” a damn thing and are basing their opinions on yet another unsourced hit piece in the NYT.

I don’t care if they have a dozen witnesses who’d swear on a stack of Korans that it’s true, put a name behind the allegations of STFU.

Sowing discontent and encouraging our side to “resist” is all the Rats have left, and some people fall for it every time.

Sessions seems either compromised, complicit, or, in over his head.

Trump should fire him and simply say he made a mistake and will not appoint any Senators to any post ever again, and stick to THAT reason. I think that reason alone would ring positive for him.

Sessions is compromised in some way.

Garbage news. If Trump didn’t like Sessions he would have fired him or at least accepted his resignation. Since that didn’t happen Trump must be OK with Jeff Sessions ...
