I think the Democrat Party has decided they are going to lose if they run anyone in 2020, so it might as well be the two time loser, who will lose a 3rd time. You would think she got it in 2016? And I mean, when the President called her 3 times to tell her to concede and she didn’t even take his call!

Interesting point. Perhaps Democrats taking the long view, will just as soon let Hillary run and lose again in 2020, then in 2024, when Trump is term limited out, then get serious with the next generation of Democrats running.

Interestingly, that concept helps explain how we ended up with Bill Clinton. After the Persian Gulf War in early 1991, George HW Bush had very high approval ratings, and many leading Democrats, such as Mario Cuomo, decided not to run for president, fearing that Bush 41 would be unbeatable. So Bill Clinton emerged out of a thin field of Democrats in ‘92 to win the nomination.

Just imagine. If Bill Clinton has lost the ‘92 election, we never would have seen Hillary rise to become a political heavyweight in her own right.
