President Donald Trump on Wednesday applauded Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Bill Cassidys (R-LA) new legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare through block grants.
President Trump released a statement on Wednesday cheering the Graham and Cassidy bill to replace Obamacare. Graham and Cassidy, along with Sens. Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Dean Heller (R-NV), and former Sen. Rick Santorum, unveiled their legislation on Wednesday otherwise known as Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson (GCHJ). The legislation would repeal Obamacares individual and employer mandate, Obamacares medical device tax, and deliver health care dollars to the states so that they can design a health care system that works best for their local population.
President Trump said:
I applaud the Senate for continuing to work toward a solution to relieve the disastrous Obamacare burden on the American people. My Administration has consistently worked to enact legislation that repeals and replaces Obamacare, and that can pass the Senate and make it to my desk. Obamacare has been a complete nightmare for the many Americans who have been devastated by its skyrocketing healthcare premiums and deductibles and canceled or shrinking plans. As I have continued to say, inaction is not an option, and I sincerely hope that Senators Graham and Cassidy have found a way to address the Obamacare crisis.
A number of governors have come out publicly in support of the new Obamacare repeal legislation. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Utah Gov. Gary Herbert, Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin, and Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds endorsed the Graham-Cassidy Obamacare repeal plan in exclusive interviews with Breitbart News. Herbert declared that the bill was a vast improvement over the Affordable Care Act. Graham told Breitbart News that at least 14 governors support the Graham-Cassidy Obamacare legislation.

Is that a real picture? That’s probably one of Linda’s nightly cross dressing parties in his backyard.
“Whereas the ‘Affordable Care Act’ is not affordable,
Whereas the ‘Affordable Care Act’ does not provide care, and
Whereas the ‘Affordable Care Act’ was all an act to allow democrats to seize power over ordinary, decent Americans,
the Affordable Care Act is hereby repealed in its entirety.”
That is what a repeal should say and do.
Puts control in the right place and accomplishes something the other RINOs were never going to do. The more Trump has to work with “fringe assets” the more clear it will be that Ryan and McConnell have to go.
Giving Federal Tax dollars to the states as block grants does nothing to Re-Privatise the health care system. This Obama Care system needs to be killed and medicine should returned to Private control.
I’m in favor of small steps that can be won rather than a huge step that will fail.
At some point, politicians who insist on what they cannot get votes for must be viewed as covertly supporting the status quo.
When does public insistence on purity actually mean secret support for Obamacare?
They are all over this site,
Let me repeat mine, My Total Health Care Spend has more than quadrupled. I pay the insurance company double and my deductible went up 4x.
I am paying 30% more for my drugs, I am paying 5k for a cyst on a family member this year when 4 years ago the same procedure cost me 800.
“Movement. Any damn movement. Yay”
It’s progressIVE, not progress.
President Trump’s great friend and ally Lindsey Graham’s plan will ensure a win in 2020 /s
Obamacare is failing and the Obamacare repeal has ALREADY passed both houses. What is missing is the will to do it.
Anything associated with Graham, McConnell, Ryan or McCain... has to have a catch to it.
Nothing has passed this congress. The past is irrelevant with legislation.
There is hypocrisy no doubt, but my pointing out hypocrisy does not move legislation through congress.
Note my “yay” ended without exclamation point.
>State control is always better than federal.
Violation of Rights\Slavery by ANY entity is illegal, unethical and immoral. Mandates are hypocritical in a (supposedly\once) Free country.
- Don’t need the govt to tax me to purchase that which I can purchase myself (less efficient, more costly and compulsory)
- If taxing me to pay for someone ELSE, see original reply above.
..if you happen to reside in a conservatively governed state, otherwise if you live in California or some other leftist enclave, you get screwed 6 ways to Sunday.
Are you the same Chauncey Gardner that played cornerback for the Florida Gators last year?
Listening to Rush streaming on the subject of this “alliance” with the Wizard of Odd and the Wicked Witch of the West. He’s still great.
I hear you — it’s bad.
The closest insurance I could get to my pre-ACA plan would cost more than $18k/year (65% increase.) And we’d still suffer from ridiculous deductibles, loss of doctors and facilities. We’ll soon be going on our 4th insurer since two of the previous companies failed and shut down.
We had great insurance before The Democrat Thug Party terminated my contract, and forced us onto Obamacare. The Democrats insist they saved me as being an (involuntary) ACA enrollee.
Of course they will. In California, given the number of Antifa thugs and other extremist leftists, you can’t imagine that a single one of them actually has a heart.
