Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner both showed up to a Manhattan courthouse Wednesday to go before a divorce judge.
Abedin, the longtime close aide to Hillary Clinton, arrived at 2:05 p.m., wearing a trim black suit and high black pumps, carrying a white handbag. She was with her lawyer and only offered a polite, “Hi” to reporters.
Thirty seconds later, Weiner arrived with his lawyer. The disgraced former congressman from Queens wore black slacks, blue-grey blazer, brown shoes.
“I have no comment at all,” he said as he posed for photographers.
“Got what you need? I’d hate for you guys to run backwards. Too many accidents that way. You know you’re close enough to sue me.”
Feeling OK, Anthony? The Post asked.
“Thank you, yes. Bless you guys.”
Abedin’s lawyers filed the divorce papers, captioned “Anonymous vs. Anonymous,” in Manhattan Supreme Court just hours after a weepy Weiner walked into nearby federal court — still wearing his wedding ring — and pleaded guilty May 19 to sexting with a North Carolina teenager.
He will be sentenced on that plea later this month.

Postponed so Anthony could walk little Jordan to preschool on the first day.
Only problem is, sex offenders are only allowed within a certain number of yards of any school....
The judge who allowed the continuance on the sentencing date is a joke.
The privilege exists for communications during the marriage. Getting married does not extend the privilege to communications that existed before marriage. Getting divorced does not eliminate the privilege for communications during the marriage.
The privilege is held by the party in the case; if Huma is the named party, she gets to object to Weiner testifying, and vice versa.
The privilege applies to communications, not actions. You shoot someone in the presence of your spouse, the spouse can still testify “I saw my husband shoot her.” But it would cover and exclude the husband then saying to the wife “I shot her because she might tell you we were having an affair.”
The privilege does not cover threats or statements made to a spouse in the course of a crime where the spouse is the victim. Pointing a gun at the wife and saying “I’m going to kill you,” the statement is not covered by the privilege.
The communication must be between the spouses only without any third parties present. If there is a third party present, not only can the third party testify about the communication, but the spouse can be made to testify as well.
At least, that’s the law in most jurisdictions regarding spousal privilege.
Hillary no longer needs Huma’s “beard”.

Since he will most likely get put on a sex offender registry, i wonder what type of vistation rights he will have seeing his spawn...

According to Anthony Weiner’s Wikipedia page it lists September 25th 2017 as his sentencing date.

Getting Weiner out of the way pretty much assures that Hillary is running in 2020. Gotta suck to be a Dem wanting to become president.
