Me too. Before I continue, let me confess. Jimmy Carter was the last Democrat I voted for. His tenure was an embarrassment to our country in nearly all respects. But... and it’s a big but. He is the only US president to broker a meaningful Middle-East peace agreement. Other than that, he should build more houses and give fewer interviews.
And...just how long did that “Peace Agreement” last?
Actually, the Israelis and Palestinians put that deal together themselves. The US was brought in after all the major points had been worked out and allowed to take all the credit so we would pay for it.
The Camp David Accords and the treaty were “meaningful”? Israeli civilians were moved out of the Sinai as a result. It was the catalyst for the shrinkage of Israel via terrorism.
