Not really. It shows you can’t believe what the Drive-By Media is telling you. The pics you see on TV is mostly in trailer and RV parks. They don’t hold up well, even in minimal hurricanes.

Duh.

The damage I saw along the Marco shoreline was mostly wrecked lanai pool screens and such.

Sanibel Island looks absolutely untouched.

As you go up the Keys toward Marathon, the damage is evident.

OK. I was only looking at houses and buildings and seeing only a few shingles missing from roofs. Those trailer/RV parks are magnets for foul weather.

I’ve been here in the Melboure area since 1979 and rode out hurricanes Francis and Jean in 2004 which were 3s. Irma was almost as bad here as I’m in the NE quadrant of this one but it was a fast mover. We’ve got another 6 weeks of prime hurricane season to sweat through. Thankfully Irma didn’t hit like Andrew.
