KVUE's Jenni Lee has confirmed that Robert Ranco resigned after his tweet from Friday about Betsy DeVos received significant backlash. Carlson Law Firm released the following statement to KVUE after Ranco's resignation:

For those of you who are wondering why this took so long, let me start by saying that this firm is a family and believe it's up to me to show the same loyalty that I ask of my people. I wasn't going to make a rash decision about a member of this family just to appease people on social media.

An adjunct at a community college is not a professor.

Ranco has been fired from his law firm and terminated at the college. But that is not enough. Now we need to get the Texas Bar Association to take disciplinary action against him and maybe get him disbarred in Texas...or at least get him called before the Texas disciplinary board.

The public can file a grievance against any Texas attorney. You do not need to be a client of the attorney. His actions justify the public filing of grievances against him. If you want to file a grievance, you can do do at the State Bar of Texas, Office of the Chief Disciplinary Counsel, CDC Grievance Web Portal.

I urge you to do so. It's time we all stood up to get these types of people disbarred, fired and publicly humiliated. Maybe then these abuses will stop.
