A professor at Austin Community College tweeted that he would be OK if #BetsyDevos was sexually assaulted because of her intentions to change the guidelines for how colleges handle sexual assault.
Rob Ranco, who is an adjunct professor of paralegal studies, posted the tweet on Friday. It has since been deleted, but not before a screenshot was obtained by Campus Reform. It stated, in full:
Im not wishing for it
but Id be ok if #BetsyDevos was sexually assaulted. #SexualAssault #TitleIX

The completely typical democrat tough guy: I want someone OTHER THAN MYSELF to commit an act of violence.
Some liberals are the most hateful, self-centered, hate-speech filled individuals in the world.
Classic leftist thug. Today's democrats disgust me.
No, I don't want fries with that.
Apparently, he’s not only been fired from Austin Community College but also from the Carlson Law Firm. They’ve wiped him off their “team” page but his position there can still be found on internet search pages.
Austin is uber liberal so his comments shouldn’t come as a surprise.
It appears the comment was fine because President Trump talked about grabbing Pussy a decade ago in a private conversation.
Nothing there about Bill Clinton Raping anyone or sodomizing an Intern with a Cigar though.
Moral equivalency at it's finest.
One millimeter over and the girls would be falling out.
Liberals are the most stingiest, polluting, unfriendly, greedy, fascist, hate-filled, mean-spirited, envious, resentful, vicious, close-minded, violent, murdering, child-abusing, amoral, stupid, censoring, horse-punching, book-burning, ignorant, uneducated, unskilled, childish, prejudiced, racist, women-hating, man-hating, perverted, thieving, destructive, American-hating, Christian-hating, muslim-loving, Jew-hating, Israel-hating, communist, vote-rigging, vulgar, dirty, smelly, election-rejecting, regressive, restrictive, prohibitive, bed-wetting, poo-flinging, cop-killing, and scared little lying thumb-sucking idiots God has ever created.
An adjunct at a community college is not a professor.
An adjunct anywhere is not a professor.
This is a perfect example of how the media lies.
The guy is not a paralegal. He is not a professor. He is a PARTNER in Carlson Law Firm, a big lucrative personal injury law firm.
“Rob attained the largest Civil Rights verdict in Texas for 2016 in a case against the Austin Police Department for excessive use of force against an innocent citizen. “
It looks like they have taken his name off the firm’s website but the link above should get you his profile.
Might be fun to give his law firm some feedback. Maybe even contact the Texas Bar Association.
The public can file a grievance against any Texas attorney. You do not need to be a client of the attorney. His actions justify the public filing of grievances against him. If you want to file a grievance, you can do do at the State Bar of Texas, Office of the Chief Disciplinary Counsel, CDC Grievance Web Portal.
I urge you to do so. It's time we all stood up to get these types of people disbarred, fired and publicly humiliated. Maybe then these abuses will stop.
VIII. MAINTAINING THE INTEGRITY OF THE PROFESSION (p117)
Rule 8.04. Misconduct
(a) A lawyer shall not:
(2) commit a serious crime or commit any other criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer's honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects;
(b) As used in subsection (a)(2) of this Rule, serious crime means barratry; any felony involving moral turpitude...
Comment:
7. Lawyers holding public office assume legal responsibilities going beyond those of other citizens. A lawyer's abuse of public office can suggest an inability to fulfill the professional role of attorney.
Good. Let him flip burgers at McDonalds.
