That might be part of it. Part is also that they really think they've won something here with the President making nice with democrats. But I think the biggest thing is that they've been throwing everything they ca get their hands on at the President, trying to separate him from his voters. Nothing has worked. Maybe they think that praising him will infuriate his base.

The media cannot keep pounding the same crazy/incompetent narrative because it has been made demonstrably false. The Scarborough segment reflects the only logical pivot for them.
