I will be leaving that way thru Swan Quarter. During my stay I will probably do Ocracoke a couple of times and go out to Shelly island for a day and rummage around.
May go up to Kitty Hawk as well. Looking forward to a week of adventure. :^)
A lot of fun to be had. Nags Head, Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills have built up substantially though, nice to have all the tourist “stuff” nearby but I prefer something a little more wide open and wild. If you haven’t done it before, the Wright Brothers Memorial is cool, outdoors and in the museum. The art deco memorial itself atop a dune is quite striking.
