It’s beautiful. If you ever find yourself in the vicinity, especially in spring or fall, it’s worth a side trip for a couple of days, definitely. Very historic, going back to the 1600’s before there was a North and South Carolina. Only far northeastern NC had earlier European settlement, but given the treacherous nature of the sea and sounds there, no major port cities developed until Wilmington at the mouth of the Cape Fear River, which was more early 1700’s. Beautiful place too, Wilmington. Different personality from Charleston, though. Some parts of Charleston could be on Barbados, as far as the looks of the place.
I have work in Mt. Pleasant from time to time. It’s a nice place. I try to stay near Patriots Point.
The College of Charleston is a big customer as well and the best about those jobs is the food.
