Amen! I don't know if it was all the media panic and warnings the past week leading up to this night that have left me feeling so unsettled and worried or if it really was a premonition of a catastrophe that, so far, we managed to escape all those years on the boat and living in Florida since 68' (except for 9 years recently in NC). But I DO know that my prayers have been for the safety of others as well as ourselves. I know it's not over yet, but I have felt a peace about it since yesterday after my husband decided we should stay put in Tampa with our two cats. Whatever the Lord was going to permit, I knew He was there with me and our lives were - as they always are - in His hands.
A lot of pain and loss has been and will be experienced by thousands of people affected by this huge storm and I will continue to pray for healing, restoration, comfort and peace as we pick up the pieces together. I am grateful for the mercy God has shown us here and the many Freepers who have prayed for those of us faced with this frightful force of nature. We are a family, there's no doubt about it.
