“If you lose wi-fi and cell data it wont work though.”
That’s not a reason to get it then. If I have cell I can call/txt, I can also call/txt to my fam with wi-fi.
You gotta train your family how to get by in the times you can’t communicate.
Come on, even the transients on skid row in LA have smart phones. Everyone has them. I have 1 and several more in a drawer somewhere.
I don’t think the issue here is buying a cell phone to have for a disaster. Every already has one. I think you’ll agree, reliable communication is the real issue when it comes to big wide spread disasters. Be ready!
1. It’s free.
2. You can communicate with a large group at once verbally.
3. You can also set it to preserve your audio message so if someone isn’t on it or can’t get to it, they can hear it when they log on.
4. You can exchange info in real time.
5. You can also communicate by image.
