That’s what they always use in those zombie apocalypse movies to make contact with other people.

“I just want to hear more about the Keys. “.
I had seen reports of bad flooding in Big Pine Key .... Looks like thats going to be the problem as water rushes back (all the way from Big Pine down through Cudjoe and up to the Stock Island area).
I had seen that Key West was pretty much OK.
I wish I had more concrete info for you ... I haven’t seen much.

Arcadia (DeSoto Co)is taking a beating by Irma just now. They are inland, and took a pounding by Charley back in 2004.

Size about right for the thread? Yes. 930px is about as wide as you want to go.
How 'bout jumping up to 216, hitting abuse and asking the mod to delete that one? Save us all some bandwidth.

If you don’t have wi-fi or cellular data it won’t help, that’s true.
BUT lots of folks in Florida have not lost cell data and all the carriers are making it free through Tuesday. Also I’m hearing that the big carriers are bringing COWs in.

Earlier today you could search Facebook Live on the map and see people broadcasting live from Key West.

Done, gimme 2 min.
St. Aug velocity couplet, black arrow equal ground zero, blue line indicates a 10k top of the vortex. Not deep, but it peaked at 100 knots shear gate to gate, at 3k feet, probably left a track in the dirt, IMO. 6 minutes outta realtime.

In big events, most of the time internet connectivity is down. It’s a very fragile system, susceptible to many issues.
Look at in the hard hit Texas gulf area. I’m pretty confident many of those folks down there still don’t have connectivity or they’ve just recently come back up.
