The entire Florida Peninsula and points north are poised to experience Hurricane Irma after the storm hugged Cuba's northern coastline. Thousands of Floridians who evacuated the Atlantic cost to Gulf Coast areas found their safe shelter under direct threat from Hurricane Irma as the forecast shifted W Friday night and Saturday. Hurricane Irma's prolonged interaction with Cuba diminished its strength to Category 3.
Irma is forecast to increase in strength as it crosses the FL Straits. The Florida Keys experienced strong outer bands while Irma grazed the N Cuba coastline.

Any questions?
And track wise. But now there are millions more in the path.
Oh yeah.
Yep. Those are very low earth currents. Dirt has shown some very high earth currents that will turn it.
That stuff is some of the coolest to watch.
Any word from Key West Just checking in.
I think Donna hit Marathon instead of Key West, but there really isn’t much difference, track wise. Ft. Myers really is once again in the crosshairs.
Not a drop. You have no call to imply that either.
That is it. This storm cannot live that.
It’s truly amazing. My kids are enthralled with that site.
Saw a live cam from a bar. But in the immortal words from Josey Wales, hell is coming for breakfast.
But it has enough outflow to hold steady up into GA. Look at the streams going NE and SW.
The weather report for Key West International says 36 mph winds, gusting to 59(14 minutes ago). Not quite what I expected. I wonder if the reporting system is messed up, or if it really is that “calm” there.
Me to! I am getting older now. I respect a job well done.

If it is working, try this for conditions in Key West.
Howling winds already blowing here in Jacksonville.
I could see the streams getting to New England.
Here’s a live cam in Ft. Myers.
It’s calm there right now, but this link might prove to be very interesting later on, at least until the cam gets knocked down.
