Irma did not shift toward the west coast of Florida after hitting into Cuba. It is still in Cuba. Maybe they mean to say that their models have it eventually turning north toward the west coast of Florida, but irma is still in florida and still on its northern coast.

Yep. Irma didn’t change course at all. The weather predictors were wrong so they changed their assumptions. She’s still headed on the same westward course she always was.
