That’s why they have historically enslaved smarter people and made them do the things they can’t figure out—like building big mosques, or baths or whatever. You are correct about their use of smarter peoples. That has been the recent history of Saudi Arabia and surrounding oil rich neighbors.

We'll have to see if the French or other Europeans will be willing slaves and if they become slaves can maintain their intellectual edge (to the extent they still have one).

I am not sure a willingly broken and surrendered people could be of much value in the intellect department.
