What about non interstate highways?

I know people automatically head towards 75 and 95 to head north, but are the US highways and smaller state and county roads also clogged?

It might be better traveling on the more inland roads anyway, at least versus 95, which looks to be directly in the forecast path.

Anyone on the ground have any reports on those highways and byways?

East/West state roads are in good shape for travel. In fact, traveling inland was recommended, as there are multiple inland N/S routes once you get there.
