My sister thought their business near Clearwater was zone B, but they were informed today that they needed to evacuate the building today. Their home is in St Pete around 30th. They are still watching everything. Trying to decide whether C’s should evacuate. I guess the bigshots will make that decision by the morning. At least they can come here if the airport remains open.

My guess is that authorities are seeing the wind field expand to hurricane strength across the width of FL and are taking no precautions. Add to the fact the ‘cane is coming from the south.

I just heard that the airport would close on Saturday, I think it was late afternoon.

Problem would be getting a flight.

We’re non evac, so we’ve got boards up, and everything is as secure as we can make it. Problem with this storm will be if it makes it off shore to the Gulf, that would not be good. As it stands now, coming up over all the land, by the time it gets to us it will be diminished as far as wind. But ever update takes it further west, and the Gulf is so warm. My husband went diving last week and the temp was up around 90 degrees. That would be bad, it needs to stay over land.
