I’ve mentioned it on other threads but after Katrina (nearly 6 weeks after) my parents power was restored by a truck from Wyoming. And my parents live about 150m from the GOM.
Wow. That's a long ways away. We had North Carolina crews here before.
Wife & kids just got back from seeing family in Wisconsin and Missouri. They told me there were whole convoys (long ones) of power companies trucks headed south from MN, IA, WI, IL & MO. Also noted that some were not even plated. Also National guard vehicals with large potable water tanks.
