Hey, I’m in S.E. Louisiana, I don’t believe ANY of these buffoons until it’s inland and Harvey proved even that can change! People who can see the future in January and predict the existence of things don’t know squat when they’re looking at a storm 24 hrs out! They get off on the power, IMO. On their word millions evacuate. It would make more sense to simply evacuate the Gulf Coast from June to October, make it a seasonal place, only a few permanent residents.
I’m in SE Florida. We may be spared. Maybe not. I quit watching the weather channel two or three days ago. Our local stations are much more optimistic. TWC is just “you’re all gonna die” giddy. My relatives up north have only TWC to rely on and it’s freaking them out. So many panicked calls and texts from them that it’s slowing down my prep work.
