That’s true. My daughter saw that happening when she was escaping Pinellas County.
My son-in-law has a diesel Ford pickup. He said while there were lines at gas stations, diesel pumps had no one waiting. For future reference.
An electric car would be ridiculous in an emergency. Good point about diesel.
Saw that in the Dallas area last week, during the post-Harvey fuel panic. I could drive for miles and see only diesel pumps active. The E85 pumps at the Kroger grocery stores were still active, too (though not all locations have fuel pumps).
I also saw people pumping E85 into older, pre-flex-fuel cars. I'm sure they felt very fortunate - for a while.
