Not a model. Actual sat gif. It looks like the eye is getting close to the Cuban coast. I don't know about what this does to the turn, but I understand the more it hits Cuba the more energy is sapped and disorganized.

If that monster doesn’t start turning north, it is aiming for Mexico. Maybe it’s so big that the normal wind patterns aren’t effecting it... making their models obsolete.

She is gonna make first major landfall in Cuba. Wow. She had to turn north by now to swing out early and miss Florida. Now she will be affected by Cuba. Tough to be them.
