No no - I don’t mean that it can’t do it. I mean that that is the real unpredictable part.

Wow. I hope this baby makes another course correction due north soon because the latest spaghetti models has it going straight up the toll road into Georgia and then into Tennessee. It could do as much damage to Atlanta as Harvey did to Houston. That would be amazing.

Trump gave $1 million of his own money to Harvey victims. I hope he hasn’t set a precedent or he could be shelling out even more for Irma.

I see from the amount of answers you got, I may not need beg pardon for having not replied to the query.

And here I thought Salvation army was still o-k. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. I dunno.

I was asleep, honest. ;)

Had to do get a few hours. Had less than three last night (early AM).

Police-involved shooting at Miami International Airport; terminal closed

Appears to be man with knife, formerly en route to Santiago, Chile. The scene is secure, and the threat is neutralized.

The storm which I can’t name turned on a dime, exactly as predicted and when it was predicted. Very impressive forecast.

Yes. It was Charlie 2004. Made a hairpin right turn just south of Tampa Bay and scooted up to the Orlando area where people had fled the storm. Tampa Bay was spared once again. This time? We have no idea what to expect.

Charley isn't the storm I'm thinking about. We all expected Charley to ravage Tampa Bay,and we were so surprised when it took a different route.

This other storm was predicted to make a crazy sharp turn. When it did exactly as forecast, it was astonishing to watch.

It was Charlie in 2004. We were living aboard in St. Pete and the forecasters were all saying, "This is IT Tampa Bay, it's our turn!". We left the boat and went to Plant City to stay with my sister. Well Charlie made a quick dogleg east at the last moment and went right over Charlotte Harbor and Punta Gorda. Then it proceeded right up the middle of the state. We had MORE wind and rain in Plant City than if we had just stayed on board! You just never know what these things will do for sure.

It's funny when people knew we lived on a boat the first question they would invariably ask was, "What do you do when it storms?". We'd answer, "The same thing YOU would do...if you're in its path you get the heck out of Dodge!" You really can't outrun a hurricane on a boat.

I’m hoping we get spared once again though I am suffering now from a little “Survivor’s Guilt”. I feel so sorry for all the people this has and will affect. I’m praying for mercy.
