“You’re wrong, for one very big reason. Any bill the House passes also has to pass the Senate to become law.”

The last time that I checked there was nothing that prevented the House from passing legislation, regardless of what the Senate wanted to do with it.

In fact, there’s a process called a “conference committee” where both houses of Congress pass differing bills and then they get reconciled and then voted on as a single bill.

But you never get to conference committee, you never even get to a filibuster (and then the opportunity to kill the filibuster), if the House just throws up its hands because a Senator from New York doesn’t like his legislation.

If the House had the leadership it had 18 years ago, we’d be CHEERING those leaders, regardless of how the Senate acted.

Which is exactly what the House did with health insurance. And then the Senate failed to act.

But my main point is that the House, to have any chance of getting a bill through the Senate, has to consider the Senate filibuster and structure its bill so that it will fall under the Senate reconciliation procedure. That generally results in a less than optimal bill, from a conservative perspective.

Also, if you check I think you’ll find that the House has sent over a hundred bills to the Senate this year, most of which are waiting on Senate action. I could be wrong in that regard, but I read earlier that it was nearly 200 bills. But you don’t hear that with all the RINO RINO RINO yelling in here. Again, the problem is the Senate filibuster, i.e., the problem is Senator McConnell. Focus your ire on him. If every Republican did exactly that, he’d have to come around.
