Transgenderism is at present a sort of mass Hysteria imposed by the left. Why anyone should take them seriously on things like climate change when they insist on adopting this fantasy about men who are actually women.
I agree with the author, but even she could be more honest and direct. She writes

A facelift is “plastic surgery”. Chopping off a man’s penis is genital mutilation and should be called out as such.
Let’s say transgenderism could be exactly what the left claims - a person who is male in all respects but is actually somehow a woman, I guess in their brain? Such a condition would be one to engender great sympathy not adulation or encouragement.
In order to accommodate wonderful Islam, we’re also going to be told to accept polygamy, something they denied for so long but now it’s here. Also female genital mutilation is now okay, and soon to follow is pedophilia. After that they’ll have to think of something new.
I left something important off the list Western societies already are being told to accept molestation and rape of females. In fact, the women are being told it’s their fault.
We're already beyond this point. New York City already fines people for not calling transgendered people by their "preferred pronouns". And young kids are getting in trouble at school for the same thing ("misgendering"). The Thought Police are already here.

The Left will not and cannot accept a win and stop demanding concessions. There is no end for them. If society granted every demand, they would be forced to develop even more outrageous demands. It isn’t about whatever their crusade of the moment is. It’s a process intended to destroy civilization.
By supporting the homo perversion of marriage, she and people like her enabled this transgender nonsense. They were warned repeatedly about the slippery slope. They refused to listen. Now it’s too late.

It takes COURAGE on our side to understand our enemies. The first step is to understand that the MEDIA is an enemy. For example, when they show the 1% of DACA children going to Harvard, but not the 20% (or whatever number) of DACA children going to state prisons...we need to accept that we’re being manipulated.
On gay marriage, it was ONLY A START. 5 years ago their argument was “What harm will gays getting married do to straight people?” and we bought it, because we really thought it would end there. Now we see lives ruined, kids being sexualized in schools, not just without parents being allowed to opt-out, but without even bothering to inform parents, and the beginnings of the push to normalize pedophilia.
On a different topic, but similar results - how many Asian parents thought that allowing qualified blacks and Hispanics equal access to colleges would result in their vastly more qualified kids being REJECTED from those schools, so as to open up slots for underqualified blacks and Hispanics.
And it will continue, it will never stop...until we kick out the GOPe, who seem totally oblivious to this, and win enough elections, for a sustained period of time.

The real issue is: Most Americans just assume; what more could they possibly want? Who could have possibly imagined where we are today?
Remember when “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” seemed soooo reasonable of an accommodation for the US Military? I would always ask; then what? What will be the next demand and how far are we willing to go IOT not be called names and be loved by our fellow citizens.
Always you hear; “they have overplayed their hand this time”! Yet onward they march over the culture, religion and history of this great Nation seemingly oblivious to the irreparable damage they inflict.
Yet even today we ask earnestly; “What do they want”? What more could they possibly demand? Their demand is Your Complete Submission to their Totalitarian philosophy and Worldview. Their lifestyle has rendered them incapable of rational thought and discourse. Every instant of their life is captured by their deviant sexual lust and need to be seen as normal.
The moment we STOP giving into them and instead rebuke, revile, call them Insane, point fingers at and laugh at their stupidity is the moment we start to win our country back!
