The governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands has ordered the territory's national guard to begin seizing guns and ammunition from citizens in preparation for Hurricane Irma's landfall.

In an executive order signed Monday, Gov. Kenneth Mapp instructed Adjutant General Deborah Howell "to take whatever actions she considers necessary to carry out the assigned mission" of maintaining and restoring public order.

"The Adjutant General is authorized and directed to seize arms, ammunition, explosives, incendiary material and any other property that may be required by the military forces for the performance of this emergency mission," the governor said in the order.

The order went into effect Tuesday at 12:01 a.m.

I’d eliminate the governor as soon as that order was given.

I would bug out immediately with my sniper rifle, after having deployed my lethal booby traps that will kill anyone busting into my house. (play stupid games, win stupid prizes, play the obey-an-illegal-order-game and your prize will be dying from a booby trap after you kick a door in)

Then I’d make my way to the governor, and then show what happens to those who give the illegal orders. I would consider an order as such given to be a declaration of hostilities by the governor requiring me to withdraw my consent to be governed.

Yeah, I was going to use that term. Or the 48 contiguous.

The armchair warriors here totally crack me up.
They cannot see over their protruding bellies, yet are going to boobytrap their homes, have a gunfight with a half-dozen officers, and then go hunting for a governor. After all that, they think a brainwashed public is then going to hoist them on their shoulders and carry them around like heroes. LOL.
