No sun up by the border in Whatcom County, just smoke. You can smell it.

It's already 84, but without the sun, I question whether it will get to the projected 92-95 high for the day.

here in Eastern Washington we are smoked in with very unhealthy to hazardous air conditions...we're getting smoke from central Washington, Oregon, and Idaho and Montana...

fires threaten the historic Glacier Hotel and its already destroyed on backwoods hotel...

they tell us not to go outside...

the smoke invades your house...afraid to open windows or use the air conditioner...

its typical here not to get rain for several weeks in the summer,but this year the dry season started way early like early June for us here and we've not had measurable drop since...

our only advantage NOW is that we have a great acquifer that can keep lawns etc pretty green....

its a mess out here folks...one big mess....
