Hmmm. I wonder if there are any military - active or veterans - in Colorado Springs. /sarc
Ya think? ;-)
I remember a time, not so long ago, when UCCS was a well respected conservative university . . . not any more . . . Sad!!!
I remember when Colorado was a respectable place. ;-)
justice in terms of the distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges within a society. "individuality gives way to the struggle for social justice",
Saul Alinskys and the Social Justice Movement....Social Justice is actually communism...a how to, for conning the public of their freedom and liberty.
Let the SJWs paint themselves into a corner with this.
Or sue the SJWs for discrimination, creating a hostile environment for veterans and hate speech. Drop the hate speech charge before trial to avoid setting a bad precedent.
But if any university did act ever did on it.
Pull their funding, sue them for discrimination and shut them down.
End this cr@p...NOW.
I’ll bet the SJW “organization” that posted the flyer consists of one millenial living in his parent’s basement.
Not sure I understand how this or any other publicly funded university gets to “ban” anyone, let alone veterans.
They certainly wouldn’t get away with banning blacks or anarchists because of their views.
Surely there is some way to put an end to this nonsense.
Social Justice Warriors wanting to ban Real Warriors.
It’s ludicrous enough that I suspect it’s a satire or false-flag from someone on our side. Sadly, however, there is no idea so ridiculous that it has never been espoused by some leftist somewhere.
However, veterans are both mature, disinterested in b.s., and they have very good “staying power” when menaced. They also do not respond well to efforts to bully or indoctrinate or shame them.
It is pretty obvious why SJWs truly hate and fear them. When SJWs get “called out” for trying to abuse others, they have nothing and quickly fold.
There...fixed it.
During WWII the men on campus were called “White Feathers” (Chicken) unless they had numerous scars or a bad limp.
Interesting that this coming from Colorado Springs, home of the Air Force Academy and a very large veteran population.
The university is right down the road from the USAF Academy. That’ll go over real well with the locals, huh. NOT.
Ft. Carson is there, too, I believe. I think it’s still the home of the 4th Inf. Div. which I was proudly a part of 50 years ago.
The university I used to work at had a custom of making freshmen wear beanies that disappeared after WWII. A senior staffer put it this way: "You'd have had 19-year-old sophomores who never served telling 26-year-old combat veterans to wear the beanie or get their butts kicked. That's when the beanies went away." Ah.
