A lot of older conservatives probably don’t understand that the massive influx of Asians into our universities is a large factor driving the new PC on campus. Most young Asians buy into anti-white multi-culturalism. It benefits them to push whites aside. Asians come from cultures that have zero respect for free speech and other “rights” and carry those values with them into America. They are not assimilating in any meaningful sense.
Indians are especially bad. They come from a tribal society where ruthless power struggles between factions are part of daily life. Indians really embrace anti-white ideology with enthusiasm. Indian Hindus vote for the Democrats at a higher rate than any group other than blacks do. Indian immigration needs to be stopped completely.
Not to worry, their kids will assimilate. All of the ones I ever knew were pretty darned conservative. Of course, that was at a university in the south (LSU) back in the 1970's.
I’ve worked closely with professional immigrants from probably two dozen countries. I often find them say how much better the old country was; there’s too much freedom to do what you want here; there are too many choices here; nobody takes care of you here; there isn’t enough of the government taking care of you here; etc., etc.
Maybe 20% really love the vitality and freedom here. Most, if they had their druthers, would seek to convert the US to full blown socialism. It’s ironic because they are all highly paid, successful business people.
You also haven’t seen much inter-racial marriage the past thirty years, even among second or third generation immigrants. Indians continue to marry Indians; Afghanis continue to marry Afghanis; Iranians marry Iranians; Chinese marry Chinese. The collapse of “the melting pot” is hurting the U.S. When everybody came from Western Europe, you saw all sorts of marriages between people of different countries within a generation or two of arriving in the U.S. No more — it’s all tribal now, as you say.
We are WAY past due for a long pause in immigration.
