When will Zone B be ordered to evacuate?
Zone B is ordered to evacuate during a Category 3 or higher.
Zone B? Pretty early in the process since it includes some barrier islands and near-coastal low-lying areas.
My best guess, as things appear now, would be sometime early Friday if they were going to give an evacuation order. Earlier if it takes a turn to the north sooner than expected. Even if it remains offshore in the Atlantic, being that far east would probably still result in an evac order in the storm is a cat 4. Glad you’ve made the choice and plans you have.
