Yeah, my niece, nephew and I were part of that Charlie evacuation from the Keys. It went real smooth. I was a very impressed Yankee. ; )

I just retired to SW Florida from Jersey. This will be my first FlorIda hurricane. I got through 911, blackouts, blizzards and hurricane Sandy. Commuting to NYC in the aftermath of each of those events was a nightmare. I hear stories from neighbors about how bad Charlie was.

I think Charley was the last one.

I have a brother in Naples. He’s far enough inland to avoid the storm surge but the wind, possible tornadoes and localized flooding are concerning.

But it doesn’t look as bad for him as it did yesterday when Irma was looking to go thru the Florida Strait.
