There was talk about hardening the grid to be able to resist an EMP attack some years ago...unfortunately it didn’t go anything beyond talk, I don’t think.
My understanding is that some has happened already although I doubt it's anywhere near enough.
Fiberoptic cable itself is not vulnerable to EMP's.
My question is, "What can be done to protect my personal items that use computer chips?" I understand a Faraday cage will work. How does one make one and what else can be used and how should it be assembled?
