When a person points a gun at you and threatens to shoot you, would you be justified to shoot him if you had the opportunity to do so?

The Pig’s launch of ICBMs over Japan and setting off a H-bomb is a shot across the bow. This shot across the bow is not a warning shot. It is an act of war.

Well, first you have to knock the gun out of the way... no sense in both of you getting shot. That's why we need to first disrupt N Korea's ability to target anyone, then we destroy him. Problem is, our allies are in the bulls-eye of N Korea's aim. So first thing is to get agreement with our allies being aimed at, to knock out the firepower aimed at them so they won't get hit so badly, and then the USA launches the kill shot at N Korean government. Gonna be hard to set this up.

No, you must wait for him to fire, then try to fire your gun within microseconds in just the precise way that your bullet hits his bullet before it strikes you and kills you. However, should he successfully shoot you, and you survive in some maimed state, you might then be permitted to shoot back, but you MUST above all else make sure that the caliber of your gun is not larger than his, otherwise your defensive response would be "disproportionate", which is deemed the worst thing imagineable in the modern concept of self-defense.

Seriously, it was endless talk, talk, talk that got us into this sorry position, yet now we are actually lectured by some of the same people who advocated for the past endless talking, and told that we now have no viable military option because too many people in the two Koreas would be killed. That's nice. So essentially the purpose of diplomacy was to delay the plainly necessary action long enough that action was no longer feasible.

I reject all of that nonsense, along with the equally pathetic hand-wringing over what China or Russia would do if we launch a military response. Those are just more excuses for endless paralysis, which is exactly what Russia and China are using North Korea for. NK acts as their proxy to threaten and possibly attack us, all the while using the threat of a larger war to keep us from defending ourselves.

If we allow ourselves to be cowed by this travesty, we will never be able to find the will to defend our national security again. It's time to smash that pathetic little idiot, and send an unforgettable message to the other communists as well. Then there's the matter of Iran....
