I think I’ll call you Ross Lobster, how’s that?

That'll be fine Abbie.

folks will die in droves...Including some of our boys...

Nobody wants that, with me at the top of the list. (having seen way too many military funerals in the past decade) however, I love the "air-drop ordnance" developments, with laser guided accuracy and ground penetration technology. We need our troops supporting the pilots and aircraft, not face to face with the enemy and absorbing rounds and shrapnel.

I was reminded of the NORKs tunnels in the mountains of the DMZ... Tough to dig the bastards out.

True, but we can probably seal them in there, or at least keep them damn busy digging themselves out. When the B52s were bombing hell out of the Taliban in Afghanistan, they spoke of the rocks, boulders and dirt raining down on the entrenched enemy...burying them.

Gov Abbot now up with Walice.

Just back from Sunday Mass...

You’re right on all of that...

However, the Taliban didn’t have an Air Force full of MiGs and a fanatical regional missile corps. They won’t flee to another country like the Iraqi Air Force. Still, we’ll eventually prevail, but afterwards, there will be many funerals with final flybys while Taps is played in the background.

Aside from Seoul, we have several fixed bases in Korea. They’ll be lit up from day one. Japan and Okinawa, too.

We’d have to have an operation similar to the night of January 17th, 1991. I was at my post in the Pentagon watching/listening in real time. We had been planning and preparing for months. I ran the SIOP computer room that calculated all the potential TRIAD nuke strikes in almost real time. We were hopping since Halloween to off load the B-52s with nukes and replace with conventional bombs for clearing out the Republican Guard trenches. Numerous and almost daily “What-ifs” had to be recalculated. Every target they had needed to be moved to another method (sub/Missile). Anyway, that was a hairy night but we did wonderfully. I hope the same can be said for North Korea.

However, the entire air campaign too a month on Iraq, and they were puny in comparison to North Korea. I just want to make it clear, that North Korea won’t be a walk in the park like Kuwait/Iraq One was. People who think that truly do not understand.

A full up air campaign against the NORKs will take time and plenty of assets need to be put in place and made ready. Is that going on? I hope so!

A war with North Korea will not be all shock and awe. The NORKs will deliberately target civilians and fixed military assets. It will take a while to play whack-a-mole with all our stuff before we finish them. In the meantime, lots of folks get murdered.

Should we act?

Yes.

But I’m not eager to see it. PRAY!
