At least as far as I’m concerned, professional sports in general is something I can take or leave.
I used to be a huge baseball fan, back in the day. I stopped going to baseball games, or even watching or listening to the games on a regular basis after the last strike.
After reading about these “protests,” combined with all the hype over the “Redskins,” I had enough. I can find something else to do during the games. I’m done with professional sports. I might catch a game now or then, as part of a social event, but as I said before, I can take it or leave it.

And if you go to the games, that is a lot of bucks.
I think they should take “professional” out of the title of all of those ‘sports’.
That's just it - I've seen enough games for one lifetime, and now have better things to do.
It isn't helping that the NFL and NBA have become nothing more than platforms for radical activism, but it isn't the primary issue. The primary issue is that neither sport is interesting to many long-time fans any more.
It is a game about yardage. That’s the basic problem.
