I saw part of a documentary recently that said that there's irrefutable evidence that Central Park (the one in New York City) was,as recently as a few thousand years ago,completely covered by a glacier that was at least 1,000 feet thick.
Anyone who gets to NYC will know that there are no glaciers in the area today.
I wonder what happened to that glacier.
