Putting oneself in the spotlight has a way of, well, making oneself visible.
Maybe the Osteens might want to pre-plan disaster policy in future. Funny how God can use nature to say “Surprise! How does all your wealth look now?” If the Osteens only were willing to give true glory to the Lord for His gifts, He would forgive the Osteens.

Not that their building being flooded matters in any way to those eager to rush in in judgement.

If it was flooded with category 3 water to have it suitable for a shelter within 24 hours is a miracle in itself. I know this factually. I am not an Osteen fan by any measure either.
There are other threads on this, and even GOP, Trump Supporters condemning Osteen for NO VALID REASON! Lakewood Church is and was a distribution center for SHELTERS IN HOUSTON, BEFORE opening as a shelter, GEEZ, I don’t get how common sense people jump to evil conclusions before the facts are out!

Joel Osteen Church had some flooding, and the roads to it, including Interstate was flooded, so getting to it was issue. Osteen issued statement that he would open Lakewood Church to victims, once Shelters were full. I saw on Twitter, that Mosques had opened doors to victims, however not a verified tweet.
OSTEEN CHURCH were removing things to lay down air mattresses, BEFORE OPENING DOORS to victims, NOW THAT MAKES SENSE! there WERE ONLY LESS THAN 300 in shelters on news last night???? So what is all LEFT HOOPLA about Osteen opening his church?? IT IS JUST EXCUSE TO ATTACK TRUMP SUPPORTER, THAT’S IT! AN EXCUSE TO WHINE ABOUT RIGHT!
AMERICANS need to ‘consider the source’ of all these fake accusations and NONSENSE COMMITS using emotions to get people to stop listening to GODLY MESSAGES..PERIOD! The very few times I’ve been able to force myself to listen to Joel Osteen, it seems the message he delivers is, “If you just believe in Him, God will make you rich”. Pretty much to the exclusion of any other Christian teachings. Just my take on his teachings.
