I know some boats arrived in Houston. But I think everyone in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Oklahoma who owns a boat needs to be on their way to Houston tonight!
Louisiana folks with boats better stay home and take care of their own for the next few days.
With so much water, the Army Corps of Engineers is working a delicate balancing act between releasing water into the already flooded Buffalo Bayou downstream and permitting the reservoir pools to flood a fixed area around the perimeter. I listened to the press conference, and heard several weeks that the homes would be inundated.

One of the evil bitches on MSNBCCNN earlier in the afternoon had tried her best to bait conservative Texas governor Abbott into castigating the Houston mayor with a couple of nasty, loaded questions why he didn't order ME...but Abbott neatly and smartly fielded the question and she didn't get to first base with him.
The evil commentators on MSNBCCNN aren't wasting a minute politicizing the hurricane and flood...and they're just getting started.
Today the mayor, tomorrow FEMA, then the next three months....President Trump.

Fire Ants RESCUE their own.....The colony is literally floating on the bodies of dead ants that have sacrificed themselves for the better good....flotillas of fire ants are a real thing that happens in Houston when it floods...... you don’t want to encounter them, and you do want to stay indoors at all costs while the rains from Hurricane Harvey continue to keep the city swamped......
