New study finds that climate change costs will hit Trump country hardest
The Guardian ^ | August 24, 2017 | by John Abraham

Humans are causing Earth’s climate to change. We know that. We’ve known it for decades. Okay so what? The follow-up questions should be directed to what the effects of warming will be.

The costs are not uniformly distributed. Some regions will suffer more and other regions will suffer less. In fact, some regions will actually benefit in a warming climate.

It is also clear that the natural biosystems won’t suffer the same. Some areas are more susceptible to climate change, others less so. Coastal areas and tropical areas are great examples.

Fortunately, a really important paper just came out in Science titled Estimating Economic Damage from Climate Change in the United States. Granted, this paper focused on the United States, but the analysis method and lessons can be applied elsewhere.

So what did they find? First, even in a single country like the United States, the losses will be very uneven. In general, the more southern states will suffer most.

climate change costs will hit Trump country hardest...

Actually, glowBull climate change sea-level rising will wipe out all the low-lying lieberal cities on both east and leftist coasts. Fly-over Trump country will be saved.

Thanks but I didn’t make it up - it’s an infographic from creative commons. But it really applies because the Climate Non-Scientist have applied EVERY ONE of these common logical fallacies to support their argument. Every single one!

That’s why I say “Pick one” - because they all apply.

Pretty much. The first three statements are outright lies. The rest of it is like building a house on a foundation of sand.

Correction: Climate "science" relies on a political agenda.

Nothing science about it.

I’m assuming that is sarcasm.

Everybody knows that “studies” make claims that are 100% true.

Can they really be called scientists when they Ignore the Fact that temperatures always rise first- 800 or so years Before CO2 rises? If they ignore the facts- then they prove they are not true objective scientists, but rather scientists with a political agenda which ignores facts

No warming in 20 years despite rising CO2 levels- woopsie- another inconvenient fact

Easy Peasy. No anthropomorphic climate change.... no climate change costs.

Dead issue.

Everyone take off their packs and stand at ease....the earth is still evolving and there is little we can do about it other than stop over populating it.

With a particular emphasis on North America and the U.S. southwest—where Blakey still lives, in Flagstaff, Arizona—these visually engaging reconstructions of the Earth's distant past show how dynamic a planet we live on, and imply yet more, unrecognizable changes ahead.

[snip]Venue met with Blakey in his Flagstaff home to talk about the tectonic processes that make and remake the surface of the Earth, the difficulty in representing these changes with both scientific accuracy and visual panache, and the specific satellite images and software tools he uses to create his unique brand of deep-time cartography.

Humans are causing Earth’s climate to change. We know that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No, we don’t.
...
There are some honest climatologists who believe that, but they think the effect is extremely small.
Perhaps it's because "Trump country" actually pays taxes.
