Wow, what a picture. Eating greasy finger food off the upholstery. So easy to prevent the mess with a just a moment's consideration. White House staff are always at the family's beck and call, and could've come up with a tablecloth at least.

The cushion was not of great intrinsic value, but the little family tableau shows disrespect for the White House. I guess one could chalk up this instance to oblivious bad manners. But Obama's misuse of the Resolute desk seems to indicate something more malign.
