Agreed. Bannon may think he has influence with Trump’s base that he doesn’t.
I’m all for them going after the globalist agenda, but jumping all over Trump merely minutes after he completed his speech comes across as Bannon vindictiveness.
If Bannon wants to support the “Trump base” he is going to need to find a way to attack policy more than attacking Trump. By acting or sounding more like attacking Trump he will NOT be, in the end, supporting the “Trump base”, he will be dividing it.
Bannon has more than one way of skinning the deep swamp cat.
Personal attacks by him on Trump will wind up benefiting the left and the Dims as his attacks will merely be additional food for the fodder for them.
It is a question of approach. He can still benefit the “Trump base” or he can divide it.
