The difference between those young soldiers and you, is that they won’t have a defeatist attitude like you do.
I don’t have a defeatist attitude, I am a realist.
There is only one thing in Afghanistan that is worthy of our military’s attention, and that is the poppy fields(which they guard). Those poppy fields cause thousands of American deaths a year. Those soldiers will die for them.
Otherwise, pull the troops out and let the hellhole be the hellhole it has always been. We aren’t going to convert them to Christianity and make them a democratic nation. Nothing we do will make any difference long term in Afghanistan except for a scorched earth policy regarding their narcotic industry.
