Those in generational poverty are probably there because they make bad decisions. If someone left them a large inheritance, they would be back in poverty within a year.

The implicit racist assumption in this article - all white people have a lot and have it because they inherited it.
“The Millionaire Next Door” found that 90% of millionaires were first generation, a rate that held steady for a century. Many of their children and grandchildren wasted it or received so much economic outpatient care that they never became wealthy while draining the millionaire generation of wealth.
These BLM are looking at fancy neighborhoods and assuming, “You got that from 6 generations’ ago labor” instead of “You earned it and I haven’t”. But blaming oppression and inter-generational wealth transfers allows them to be greedy and jealous for the things others have earned.
