No, they are not. They are a corporation. By their own admissions, they take in over $14 BILLION dollars a year.
They also compete and win commercial contracts. They do not live just on donations and charity. They also are required by law to compete for those contracts to maintain independent financial audits for which they claim they do not have and refuse to make public. They hide their financial details from the public.
The Salvation Army is a money making scam. Period.
