Maybe it's time to remove the statue in downtown Minneapolis of Mary Tyler Moore tossing her hat in air. CAIR might consider that offensive, a liberated woman uncovering her head shows insensitivity to righteous Islamic women who willfully submit to wearing the schmata around their heads.

Mary Tyler Moore is on the endangered list for more than that.

Her grandfather was Lt. Colonel Lewis Tilghman Moore, commander of the 4th Virginia Infantry - a Confederate unit.

And Miss Moore was not ashamed of it.

And she contributed funds to help restore the Conrad Shindler House which was used as a headquarters by none other than Stonewall Jackson.

There are lots of reasons to like Mary Tyler Moore.
