Maybe if they shopped like we do instead of buying frozen foods and chips they’d still have some food. I buy canned goods etc when they’re on sale too. We also cook. We don’t eat frozen entrees, etc. We cook.

I don't eat frozen entrees because they are both costly and pretty devoid of good nutrition. Also, they tend to be very high in sodium, carbs, and fat, while low in protein and vitamins. Nope, don't touch that stuff with a very few exceptions. I buy a lot of fresh fruit and veggies, whole grains bread and pasta, poultry and fish. No candy (none!), no pastries, no chips.

I collect healthy recipes online, then email them to my Fire tablet mounted on the fridge door. I just flick my finger down the screen to scroll through recipes as I cook them. Tonight, the chicken leg quarters I just bought on sale will go into the crockpot for overnight cooking, while fish, rice, and broccoli simmer in their respective pots. Tomorrow I will bake a chocolate cake (that's my month's sum baking, as I cut it into squares and freeze it). So then, I won't have to cook until Tuesday for dinner! Even better, the dishes are all very low in sodium, fat, and chemicals---unlike fast food.
