ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) The contractor that maintains EBT services for Virginia's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is experiencing multi-state service problems.
This has resulted in an EBT System outage.
It is unknown when the system will be restored.
SNAP clients can call (866) 281-2448 to check on the status of the system restoration. Clients can also call 2-1-1 to learn of food resources that might be available to supplement their needs during the temporary outage. Also, clients can call the Enterprise Customer Service Center at (855) 635-4370 with any additional questions related to their benefits.

I attended a diabetes medical conference yesterday. I hoped I was successful in not visibly wincing when some black participants who were obviously low info voters (one kept praising Moochie Odungo’s lunch programs!) were sharing their fast food experiences and how hard it was to find healthy food choices there. The moderator pointed out that some sandwiches could account for an entire day’s recommended calories, sodium, and sugar. Every one of those participants was hugely obese. WHY, I asked myself, were they even getting meals at fast food restaurants?

I buy non-perishable groceries that I routinely use when they are on a good sale and store them. Consequently, I save a lot of money on food. Same as you, if I couldn't get out for a while, I'd have plenty to eat between my freezer and my packaged goods.
