"This terrible incident started as a reasonable civic demonstration by Southern traditionalists who were not hostile to African-Americans but object to the shamed renunciation of a great American heroic and folkloric figure from “Gone With the Wind,” to The Band’s “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down,” to “The Dukes of Hazard.”

I'm not sure if it is Bo or Luke that is having a bit a trouble with the law in some state a bit north of Hazard County, but I not see Bo or Luke at the protest.

The only commonality may be that Bo and Luke drove an orange Dodge Charger and that Mr. Fields drove a Dodge Challenger.

General Robert E. Lee appears prominently in all 3 cultural/media vehicles mentioned. In fact, General Lee *is* a vehicle in that last.
