Someone who does that should be criminally charged with assault (perhaps with a deadly weapon, if applicable) or mayhem, and then sued by the victim and every member of the victim’s family. Note that if convicted of a crime for this, insurance will NOT cover the liability - the victim will end up owning much or all of what the perp used to own.
Do that a few dozen times, and this crap will stop.
